The woodcarver Jón Ólafsson comes from Sandnes in the Strandir region of the Westfjords. Jón handcarves and then paints a variety of birds found in Icelandic nature.
Each bird is unique given that they are handmade. The wooden piece on bottom is random, differs between a black square or a raw piece of wood.
